Appointment-only entry: No unannounced visitors; entry is only at the scheduled time and with a signed acknowledgement completed before arrival.

This waiver must be agreed upon and signed BEFORE visiting Steve's Snaketuary®.

Release of Liability Waiver/Hold Harmless Agreement

In exchange for participation in the activity organized by Steve's Snaketuary®, I agree for myself and (if applicable) for the members of my family, friends, and accompanying party, to the following:

Agreement to follow directions. I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by Steve's Snaketuary®'s instructors, employees, representatives, or agents of Steve's Snaketuary®.

Standard Rules for Snaketuary® (may be updated at any time)
1. No person who is intoxicated, impaired, or unable to follow directions may enter reptile areas or handle any reptile. No alcohol use before or during the visit to Snaketuary®. Alcohol use before or during your visit to Snaketuary® is strictly prohibited.
2. No smoking, including vaping, at the Snaketuary®. Smoking, including vaping, at the Snaketuary® is strictly prohibited.
3. Do not squeeze, hit, or drop any of Snaketuary®'s reptiles.
4. Do not pet the heads of any of the reptiles. Do not "boop the snoot."
5. Do not attempt to kiss any of the reptiles.
6. Do not tap any of the cages.
7. Doors to the reptile rooms must remain closed, unless directed by staff of Steve's Snaketuary®.
8. No food or drink in animal areas. If you eat before visiting Snaketuary®, you must wash your hands with soap and water before handling the reptiles. Snaketuary® also requires visitors to use hand sanitizer before handling the reptiles and during your visit between certain reptiles.
9. If you are visiting with a group, we ask that you also read our Snaketuary Educational Presentation Agreement. Guidelines and rules from that agreement may also apply to visitations.
10. Every minor must remain with their parent/legal guardian or specifically designated supervising adult.
11. Guests with open cuts, or those who are immunocompromised, or otherwise concerned about animal-contact risks should not handle reptiles and should use their healthcare professional's advice.
12. No visitor-owned animals, including pets or personal reptiles, unless Snaketuary® approved them in advance.
13. No entering staff-only areas, opening enclosures, handling reptiles without staff direction, feeding reptiles without Snaketuary® guidance, or bringing weapons.

Assumption of the risks and release: I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above described activity and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and (if applicable) my family members, and further release and discharge Steve's Snaketuary® for injury, loss or damage arising out of my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of Steve's Snaketuary® and their animals, whether caused by the fault of myself, my family, Steve's Snaketuary®, or other third parties.

Live animals: I understand participation in the activity organized by Steve's Snaketuary® includes exposure to live animals. Such exposure carries risks of death, injury, illness, or being bitten, constricted by, urinated on, or defecated on by a live animal.
Please be aware that reptiles are ectotherms, so the reptiles' rooms must stay warm.
Live animals can also have strong, distinct smells.
Steve's Snaketuary® reptiles are living creatures. This is their home, so please treat them with the respect they deserve.

Fees: I agree to pay for all damages or injuries to the facilities or animals of Steve's Snaketuary® caused by any negligent, reckless, or willful actions by me or my family.
(Currently, Steve's Snaketuary® only asks for donations when you visit. This helps take care of the reptiles at the Snaketuary®. These donations do not cover any damages or injuries caused by visitors.)

Medical Authorization: In the event of an injury during the above described activities, I give my permission to Steve's Snaketuary® or to the employees, representatives, or agents of Steve's Snaketuary® to arrange for all necessary medical treatment for which I shall be financially responsible. I hereby authorize Steve's Snaketuary® to seek appropriate medical treatment or attention on behalf of myself or my child as may be required by the circumstances, including without limitation, that of a licensed medical physician and/or hospital. I also give Steve's Snaketuary® authority to authorize medical treatment for medical treatment or procedures in an emergency situations.

Photos/Videos: I understand that Snaketuary® takes photos and videos of visitations to their facility, and that me and those visiting with me may have our photos taken or videos of us taken, and those photos and videos may be posted on various social meda platforms.

Snaketuary® does allow visitors to take photos and videos throughout their visit. Snaketuary® does ask that if the pictures and videos that visitors take are posted on social media, that you tag Snaketuary®.

Photos, videos, or information about Steve's Snaketuary® must not be used for slander, libel, or defamation against Steve's Snaketuary®. If Steve's Snaketuary® discovers this, you will be permanently banned from Steve's Snaketuary®, Snaketuary® events, and Snaketuary® social media.

Visitors may not post or share Snaketuary®'s private address, access instructions, security information, reptile-room layout, or other nonpublic operational details. Snaketuary® may prohibit photography or recording at any time.

I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the danger involved, and agree to assume any and all risks of bodily injury, death, property damage, or other loss, whether those risks are known or unknown. I am expressly assuming the risks associated with my participation in this activity.

I certify that I am fully capable of participating in this activity. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility for myself, including all minor children in my care, custody, and control, for bodily injury, death, or loss of personal property and expenses as a result of those inherent risks and dangers not specifically identified, and as a result of my negligence in participating in this activity.

I hereby waive, release and forever discharge Steve's Snaketuary® ("Released Parties") from any and all claims I may have now or arising in the future related to my participation in the photography session. I covenant and agree not to sue any Released Parties for any such claims. I hereby waive, release and forever discharge the Released Parties from all of the following (the "Claims"): any and all claims, liabilities of every kind, demands, damages (including direct, indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential), losses (economic and non-economic), and causes of action, of any kind or nature, which I have or may have in the future (including court costs, attorneys' fees and litigation expenses), that may arise out of, result from, or relate to my participation in the presentation, photographing, videoing, and handling of reptiles or my travel to and from such activities . I understand and acknowledge that these Claims include, but are not limited to, causes of action for death, personal injury, partial or permanent disability, negligence, and property damage or theft; causes of action relating to the provision of first aid, medical care, medical treatment, or medical decisions; and claims for medical or hospital expenses, including medical transportation services. I understand and agree that the foregoing waiver, release and discharge applies even if the Claims are caused by the negligent acts, omissions, or carelessness of any Released Parties. I understand that this waiver, release and discharge operates for myself as well as on behalf of my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs, next of kin and any legal or personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, or anyone else who might claim or sue on my behalf. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless all released parties from any claims which I might make or which might be made on my behalf by others or which might be made against me by others, arising from my participation in the activities provided by the released parties, my travel to or from such activities.

Snaketuary® may deny entry, change the visit format to observation-only, or end a visit immediately for unsafe conduct, reptile stress, unsafe weather/conditions, illness concerns, or rule violations.

In an emergency, Snaketuary® may call 911 and provide reasonable first aid within the responder's training and available resources. The visitor or parent/guardian remains responsible for medical decisions and costs, except as otherwise required by law.

This waiver must be agreed upon and signed BEFORE visiting Steve's Snaketuary®.

This waiver shall remain valid unless expressly revoked by the participant or parent or guardian of a minor, in writing, with receipt acknowledged by the released parties.

I have read and understand this document. I further understand that by signing this release, I voluntarily surrender certain legal rights.

I sign this agreement freely and voluntarily without duress or coercion, and I am and have been fully informed of the consequences of my signature hereto.
