Snaketuary®️ Photo Shoots/Music Videos Agreement

Thank you for choosing Snaketuary® for your project.

Snaketuary® is available for photo shoots and music videos. To keep both people and reptiles safe, and to make sure your session runs smoothly, please review the guidelines below.

Booking a session with Snaketuary® means you agree to these terms.

1. Rates and Session Details

  • Standard rate: $100 for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour on site in the Shreveport/Bossier area.
  • For locations outside of the Shreveport/Bossier area, additional costs will be added to cover time and distance.
  • Snaketuary® will typically bring 4-6 snakes, selecting the reptiles that are safest and most appropriate for your shoot.
  • Final snake selection is made the day before or the day of the session, based on the reptiles' health, temperament, shedding cycles, and environmental conditions.

2. Snake Selection and Styling

  • Snaketuary® will decide which snakes attend your session. Specific reptiles cannot be guaranteed.
  • We can make a reasonable effort to coordinate snake colors with outfits or set design if requested in advance, but exact color matching is not always possible.
  • All handling and posing will be determined by Snaketuary® based on what is safe and humane for the snakes.

3. Environment and Climate Requirements

  • All photo and video sessions must take place in a climate-controlled environment (indoors with appropriate heating/air conditioning).
  • No outdoor shoots during extreme heat, including the months of June, July, and August and other high-temperature periods, to protect the reptiles from heat stress. The same for colder temperatures.
  • A clear, safe area must be available on arrival, free of clutter, hazards, loud equipment, or other animals.

4. Supervision and Handling Rules

  • A Snaketuary® representative (Steve or another handler) must remain on site for the entire session; reptiles will not be left unattended.
  • All handling of snakes must follow Snaketuary®'s instructions. Snaketuary® may limit or stop handling at any time if safety or welfare becomes a concern.

Certain poses and shots are not allowed, including:
  • Faces extremely close to the snakes.
  • Attempting to kiss a snake.
  • Placing snakes near the mouth, eyes, or neck in a way that is unsafe or stressful.
  • Rough handling, squeezing, sudden movements, loud chaos, or ignoring instructions may result in snakes being removed from handling or the session being ended early.

5. Scheduling and Availability

  • Snaketuary®'s availability is limited due to existing rescue, education, and firefighting commitments.
  • Sessions must be scheduled on a day Steven (or the designated handler) is off duty and available.
  • We recommend contacting us well in advance with a few potential dates and times so we can review our calendar and confirm availability.

6. Payment, Deposits, and Cancellations

  • A nonrefundable deposit may be required to reserve your date and time.
  • Remaining balance is due before the session begins, either upon arrival or via the agreed payment method.
  • If the session must be shortened or ended early due to unsafe behavior, refusal to follow safety instructions, or unsuitable conditions, no refunds or credits will be issued.

7. Media Use and Credits

  • Clients and creators may use images and footage featuring Snaketuary® reptiles for their intended project (album art, promo photos, music videos, etc.).
  • Snaketuary® requests on-screen or written credit where reasonable (e.g., "Snakes provided by Snaketuary®" with our website www.snaketuary.com).
  • Snaketuary® requests to be tagged on social media with links to our pages (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Snaketuary® reserves the right to use behind-the-scenes photos or final images/footage that feature our reptiles for our own marketing and social media, with appropriate credit to the photographer/artist when provided.

8. Other Animals, Noise, and Distractions

  • No loose dogs, cats, or other pets in the shooting area while snakes are present.
  • Loud music, strobe lighting, and special effects should be discussed in advance; anything that stresses the reptiles may need to be adjusted or turned off while snakes are out.
  • Running, roughhousing, or chaotic movement near the snakes or equipment is not permitted.

9. Agreement

By booking a Snaketuary® photo shoot or music video session, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these guidelines and agree to:

  • Provide a safe, climate-controlled environment.
  • Follow all handling and safety instructions from Snaketuary®.
  • Respect any limits Snaketuary® sets on poses, handling, and reptile selection.
  • Ensure that everyone present behaves in a way that is safe for both people and reptiles.
