Snake Rescue Pricing

Steve's Snaketuary® is properly trained, permitted, and certified to deal with snake removal and reptile rescue in Louisiana.
We have the proper permits and certifications for snake removal and reptile rescue through Wildlife & Fisheries, Animal Control, and the National Wildlife Controller Operators Association. Snaketuary® also has our Reptile Level 1 Certification through NWCOA and our Venomous Handling Certification through The Rattlesnake Conservancy.

Steve's Snaketuary® does not work for 911, the Police Department, or Animal Control, although those agencies do dispatch us out.
Steve's Snaketuary® is not subsidized by those companies.

We do not charge for pet reptile (NON native) rescues (The following pricing is for native snakes that people find in their homes or businesses).

Snake removal is a skilled, field-based service.
Snaketuary® works hard to keep our snake removal pricing fair and accessible. Our fees help cover the time, travel, fuel, equipment, permits, training, insurance, and hands on experience required to provide safe, professional snake removal services.

Snaketuary®'s local minimums are intentionally kept lower when possible, but payment is required so we can continue responding safely and professionally to future calls.

They may be updated at Steve's Snaketuary®'s discretion. The accepted quote for a dispatched call remains the applicable price for that call.

Snake Rescue Call Out Fees

•Within 25 miles from Snaketuary®'s location- $25 minimum
Based on your location. Payment is required by phone before Snaketuary® departs. Includes removal of one non-venomous snake and up to 15 minutes of on-site search time.

Based on your location. Payment is required by phone before Snaketuary® departs. Includes removal of one non-venomous snake and up to 15 minutes of on-site search time.

The minimum fee is nonrefundable, even if the snake cannot be found, the customer cancels, the property is inaccessible, or the caller gave incomplete/wrong information.

The first 15 minutes of searching for the snake begins upon Snaketuary®'s arrival at the location.
Travel time is excluded in the first 15 minutes of searching for the snake.

Additional Charges, When Applicable

$25 for each additional 15 mins of searching for the snake

$25 additional if it is a venomous snake

$100 additional if we have to go under a house or in an attic

The quoted minimum is due by phone before Snaketuary® departs our location. Additional approved charges are due at the time of service.

The base price covers one property and one identified snake issue. If multiple snakes are found during the same visit, or if multiple properties need to be inspected, additional charges will be added. This will be determined by how many snakes are found and how much property is inspected.

Before entering an attic/crawlspace, going under a house, or continuing into paid additional search time, Snaketuary® will explain the added charge and obtain the on-site customer's approval when feasible.

Final pricing may vary based on travel distance, access, search time, conditions, and the work required. Snaketuary® will communicate known additional charges before performing additional billable work whenever possible.

If you pay more than our cost, that will be considered a donation and does NOT cover future calls.

Search Conditions & Limitations

Snaketuary® will search reasonable, safe, and accessible areas. We cannot search every box, bag, clothing pile, storage tote, cabinet, or other personal belonging in a cluttered residence or business. We are there to locate and remove snakes-not to clean, organize, move furniture, or sort through belongings.

Customers are responsible for clearing areas they want searched before Snaketuary® arrives. Clutter, blocked access, unsafe conditions, and inaccessible areas may limit or end the search. Search time remains billable at the posted rate, and Snaketuary® does not guarantee that a snake will be located.

Snaketuary® may decline to enter or search any area that is unsafe, unsanitary, blocked, or likely to cause property damage.

If the customer is not present, cannot provide safe access, or cancels after dispatch, the prepaid minimum is nonrefundable.

Snaketuary® does not respond to calls for dead snakes or snakes whose injuries are too severe for rehabilitation.

If you find an injured snake, please send multiple clear photos from a safe distance before handling or moving it. Photos allow Snaketuary® to assess the condition of the snake and determine the most appropriate next step before responding. Snaketuary® will review the photos and advise on the safest and most humane next step for the snake.

Do not attempt to handle, relocate, feed, treat, or euthanize an injured snake unless Snaketuary® specifically instructs you to do so.

Snaketuary® responds to snake calls only (with exceptions for certain reptiles). If you are unsure whether an animal is a snake, you must send a clear photo or video from a safe distance before Snaketuary® will schedule or dispatch for the call.
A photo or video helps us identify the animal, determine whether Snaketuary® can assist, and provide the correct next step. Do not approach, touch, trap, chase, kill, or attempt to identify the animal up close in order to obtain a photo or video.

If a clear photo or video cannot confirm that the animal is a snake, Snaketuary® may still respond at the customer's request. However, an Unconfirmed Animal Dispatch Fee of $100 will apply in addition to the applicable call-out minimum.

Snaketuary® will assess the animal on arrival. If it is not a snake, Snaketuary® will not capture, remove, transport, or take the animal. All prepaid call-out and unconfirmed-animal fees remain nonrefundable after dispatch.

Snaketuary® does not provide removal for unidentified animals, mammals, birds, insects, or other wildlife. If the animal is not a snake, we may be unable to assist and may direct you to the appropriate wildlife-control provider or agency.

Before Snaketuary Arrives

We STRONGLY encourage you to provide a picture of the snake before we get to your address.

We STRONGLY encourage you to keep an eye on the snake before we get there.

If you do not watch the snake before we get there, we will not guarantee that we will find the snake.

If you did not see the snake when you called us (e.g. if it was a day or more prior when you saw it), we reserve the right to not go look for the snake.
If you still want us to come out, there will be a $75 minimum, depending on your location and what is involved.

The homeowner or tenant must be present when we arrive and be able to provide access to the relevant areas. No calls for a snake in a neighbor's house or friend or relative who is not home.

Snake Surveys

We can also come out to your property for a snake survey, removing any snakes we may come across, and offer insights to any issues that may attract snakes and how to keep them out of your residence or business.
This inspection service will be on a case by case basis, and prices will depend on location and how much work is involved.
During our snake surveys, Snaketuary® cannot guarantee that we can find any snakes.

Please keep in mind that Steve's Snaketuary® is a small business with a limited number of people, who also have other responsibilities. This does affect our response times.
There may be times when Steve's Snaketuary® is only available for phone, text, or email consultation.
Calls are answered based on availability and are not a guaranteed immediate or emergency-response service.
For a snakebite, medical emergency, or immediate danger, call 911. Do not wait for snake removal.

Snaketuary® does accept several forms of payment, including credit card, CashApp, Venmo, or PayPal.
